               Adopt a Parrot

Our policy is to keep the surrendered "larger" parrots for a minimum of three months in order to watch for health and personality issues. The friendly and more socialized birds will be put up for adoption. Applications need to be filled out for all our birds. We require prior experience with the larger species. Adopters must live in a home rather than an apartment or condo. We prefer individuals with no small children and no pets that might endanger the welfare of a parrot. We will also want to inspect your home to insure the living conditions are acceptable.

The smaller birds, such as Finches, Parakeets, Lovebirds and Cockatiels, are easier to adopt. They make great pets for beginners and retirees.

Please note: Cockatiels, Cockatoos and African Greys all expel a dander that may cause allergic reactions in people with respiratory issues.

We do charge an adoption fee which varies depending upon the species.
